Trading

Providing the latest technologies, equipment,
and information for our customers

We have built a global marketing network for over half a century, and it has equipped us with the trading capabilities to supply both domestic and international products and technologies to our customers. We have honed these capabilities because we, as a manufacturer, have been kept up to date with the latest equipment, technologies, and information. We are a technology-based trading company with manufacturing capabilities, and our corporate value also lies in our identity as such.

Case01Building and installing a tablet printing and packaging line for a pharmaceutical manufacturer

Our proposal for making capital investment ahead of competitors helped our customer to increase their market share

To support our customer’s differentiation from competition, we proposed building a production line for the entire process from inkjet printing for uncoated tablets to inspection and packaging, ahead of competitors. We developed inkjet printing equipment suitable for tablets and used our PTP packaging machine featuring our proprietary forming method to reduce film waste. We successfully assisted the customer in increasing market share and reducing material usage.

Case02Building and installing a bottled product production line for a cosmetics manufacturer

Increased production and high-mix low-volume production achieved by a combination of standalone equipment

To meet a customer’s requirement to increase production of bottled cosmetic products, we proposed an optimal production line that combines manual operation and robotic equipment, while taking available workspace into consideration. For equipment changeovers, we adopted numerical control for quality-critical processes, achieving easier changeovers and reducing human error. The successful introduction of the high-mix low-volume production line sought by the customer has enabled them to broaden the range of orders they are now able to take on.

Case03Introducing a new production process for a food manufacturer

Working with a foreign equipment manufacturer to help a customer increase production capacity and process efficiency

We proposed a rotary production process to help a customer significantly improve their production capacity and facilitate equipment management. This process eliminated the need to manage and adjust each production line, resulting in improved process efficiency. The customer’s requirements could not be met by domestically manufactured equipment, and we therefore sought the assistance of a foreign manufacturer in developing part of new equipment, while we provided development support. Our close liaison with both the foreign manufacturer and the customer led to enhanced mutual understanding and communication.

Engineering

Meeting customer needs

We have the engineering capabilities to propose and build production lines for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food products that require higher safety standards and efficiency levels. We are customer-centric, and we offer custom-made production lines tailored to customers’ specific needs.

  • Concept planning
  • Layout creation
  • Qualification testing
  • Installation and commissioning
  • Validation and final documentation

Case01Developing an automated system for a pharmaceutical manufacturer

Achieving improvements in production efficiency and quality through a 24-hour operation system

A customer’s requirement was to improve the production efficiency and quality of medical devices by eliminating human intervention in the production process. To respond to this request, we proposed developing a new device that incorporates the latest technology and building an automated system that remains operational 24 hours a day, from the molding and removal to sterilization processes. As a result of the introduction of the new system, the customer achieved higher productivity and labor-saving and reduced contamination risks in the production process.

Case02Building an automated sampling and analysis inspection line for a drink manufacturer

Japan’s first-ever automated canned drink products inspection machine

Leveraging our insights into product quality and safe operation that we have acquired in the pharmaceutical industry, we proposed an automated sampling inspection line to a drink manufacturer customer. It was the first machine in Japan to be used to check for any scratches or foreign objects in canned drink products. We started the development by conducting research into manual analysis equipment and assessed the performance and specifications of imported equipment. We successfully coordinated with 20 manufacturers in order to build the production line with a complex configuration that involves five robots transporting products to multiple inspection machines.

Manufacturing

Turning a customer’s unique idea into a real product

Many types of equipment used to manufacture pharmaceuticals and cosmetics are custom-made to meet user specifications. In other words, our technical excellence is demonstrated by our ability to turn diverse customer requirements into a tangible product. We offer meticulous service with a wide range of approaches, to develop and manufacture proprietary machines, such as PTP packaging machines and filling machines, as well as customize imported equipment. Our equipment delivers optimal performance at all times.

  • In-house development
  • Customization
  • Testing

Case01Building and installing a packaging line for a pharmaceutical manufacturer

Building a single packaging line that can be used for both domestic and overseas markets

To cater to various packaging styles required in domestic and overseas markets, we proposed a packaging line featuring a single unit of PTP packaging machine suitable for use in both markets. We took advantage of our engineering capabilities to build the space-efficient packaging line with robotic feeders and custom-specification accumulation devices. This development contributed to improving the customer’s domestic production capacity and increasing overseas business opportunities.

Case02Building and installing a packaging line for a cosmetics manufacturer

New factory’s packaging process efficiency improved and manpower reduced

Our customer was faced with manpower shortages at a new factory being built as a dedicated facility for manufacturing skincare products. In recognition of our proven ability to coordinate multiple manufacturers, the customer engaged our service to help with their challenge. We proposed and designed a tube filling line consisting of nine units of equipment for the packaging process. Our excellent engineering and technical capabilities as well as design innovations made throughout the line helped achieve work efficiency and manpower reduction.

After-sales service

Bringing peace of mind to our customers

Our after-sales service supports customers’ stable production. We strongly believe in trouble prevention rather than troubleshooting, and we routinely maintain and inspect our customers’ production lines while delivering new value at the same time.

  • Troubleshooting
  • Maintenance, inspection, and calibration
  • Trouble preventive measures

Case01Foreign-made equipment after-sales support for pharmaceutical manufacturers

Providing technical and linguistic support as well as operational training for foreign-made equipment users

We provide after-sales service to our foreign-made equipment users, which includes technical and linguistic support, calibration, maintenance, and parts replacement, so that they can continue to use their equipment with confidence. If any product failure occurs, we liaise with the foreign manufacturer and provide technical support before their engineer arrives in Japan for troubleshooting. We also assist the customer in collaboration with the manufacturer as needed. There are numerous types of equipment and devices available around the world that can more effectively meet the functions sought by our customers, and with our assistance, we hope to provide them with a wider selection of product options.

Case02Cartoner (packaging machine) after-sales service for pharmaceutical manufacturers

Preventive maintenance service incorporating technical expertise accumulated over 50 years since the delivery of the first cartoner

We have supplied more than 500 pharmaceutical cartoners (packaging machine) over 50 years since July 1970, when we delivered the first unit. Some of the oldest units, in use for over 40 years, are still in good working condition and continue to function with follow-up support provided. The technical expertise that we have amassed over half a century is shared among our engineers, who, based on their considerable experience, recommend preventive maintenance, including replacing sliding and wear components. Although equipment failures can occur unexpectedly despite our best efforts, our customers nevertheless greatly benefit from less frequent malfunctions, fewer short-time breakdowns, higher yield rates, and reduced recovery time, which all result from our preventive maintenance service.
